Moving into a community as its being constructed comes with a major benefit – you get to influence how it all comes together. At Te Puna Waiora, management are listening to residents’ ideas for landscaping, community features and on-site amenities.
There’s already talk of a mini-farm, because some residents will arrive with farming knowledge and a love of animals. A boat has recently been purchased and is taking residents out in the bay - fishing and island hopping.
In addition to special features that give Te Puna Waiora a strong point of difference, the community will have a clubhouse, walkways and cycle paths. Future plans include a care centre for residents who need rest home care, hospital-level or dementia care.
There are also plans to build an Arvida Living Well Centre, with a café, swimming pool, gym, fitness classes, health services and much more. All Te Puna Waiora residents will enjoy free membership to this centre.
