Independent homes are designed to be as low maintenance as possible. Apart from changing the odd light bulb, there shouldn’t be much for you to do in or around your property. Please check with the village to see what maintenance is included in your weekly fees and what maintenance may incur additional charges.

Whether you need help with your laundry or would love meals delivered to your door, most villages offer a range of services to make life easier. You may also be able to access onsite healthcare services, such as physiotherapy or blood pressure checks, depending on the healthcare facilities at your village.

Most retirement villages have good onsite security, such as monitored security cameras or gated entrances. Knowing there is a system in place to keep both you and your home safe will bring you great peace of mind. The level of security differs from village to village, so please ask the sales manager for details.

Most villages include staple facilities such as a dining area and a communal lounge, while many offer much more, from indoor swimming pools to hair salons, bowling greens, communal gardens, and gyms. Onsite facilities are the perfect place to socialise with like-minded neighbours and participate in group activities.
