Selwyn Park is located in the subtropical town of Whangarei in New Zealand's Northland Region, famed for its mild winters and endless beaches. The village is surrounded by park-like grounds and is a short distance to the Whangarei Hospital and town hub, with a shopping centre, cinema, library, and a variety of cafes and restaurants.
The retirement village has 14 independent, single level villas spread around 1.5 hectares of land known as Sutton Close. Each villa is up to 100 square metres, with two bedrooms, a spacious bathroom and laundry area and a carport. The village provides residents a safe and secure environment where they can lead an independent lifestyle with options of additional care services such nursing and medical care along with other daily services such as catered meals and cleaning. Future needs are also taken into account with rest home, hospital and dementia level care onsite.
There is a wide range of amenities at Selwyn Park which include a hair salon, which runs three times a week, a convenience store, TV lounge, a large arts and crafts room and a full-sized indoor bowling green.
