Copper Beech is located just a few minutes from the waterfront in sunny Tauranga. Our prime Bay of Plenty location is close to the best of what the city has to offer, including shops, cafes and golf, and ideally positioned for pleasant walks through local parks and along the shore.
The one-bedroom apartments at Copper Beech are designed to accommodate both independent and assisted living. Each unit includes a large bedroom, open plan living and dining area, laundry facilities and a kitchen. Some of our homes have access to landscaped gardens, while others enjoy sunny balconies. Residents can choose services such as housekeeping and meals to create an assisted living package tailored to their individual needs. Cooper Beech also has an adjoining care facility, providing rest home and hospital level care.
There’s a wide-ranging activities programme at Copper Beech, and residents have the option of becoming as involved as they wish. Tuck into fish and chips at a resident dinner, catch up with neighbours over morning tea, or join a craft session. The village also enjoys regular entertainment, social outings and shopping trips.

Can residents make alterations to their property? ×
Only with prior consent from management. Residents are not able to make structural changes to their apartments.
What do resident fees cover? ×
Residents living in Copper Beech Apartments are required to pay a weekly fee which contributes to meeting the costs of operating and managing the village. Some of the costs that this fee contributes towards are: rates and taxes on village land, building insurance on resident dwellings, emergency call system, village management and staffing costs, lawns and garden care, etc.
How long is the cooling off period once the contract is signed? ×
Fifteen working days.
When leaving the village, what is the process for units being sold? ×
Copper Beech manages the sales and marketing process. Outgoing residents are welcome to introduce a prospective resident who meets the normal entry criteria for the village.
Can residents have friends & family to stay? ×
Yes, residents are welcome to have friends and family stay for a maximum of three weeks, but this is flexible. If a resident would like a guest to stay longer they will need to speak with the village manager. Guests of the village are welcome to use the facilities as long as a resident accompanies them.
What does the entry fee cover? ×
The entry cost gives the resident the right to live in the property for their lifetime or as long as they choose. When the resident leaves the village they will receive the cost paid minus the deferred management fee.
What are the residents rights if the village got into financial difficulty? ×
Residents are protected by a first ranking mortgage with an Independent Statutory Supervisor. The Statutory Supervisor holds a first ranking mortgage over the village land in order to ensure priority and security for the rights of all residents. The Statutory Supervisor also ensures the operator of the village acts in accordance with the disclosure statement and the village is run in a financially responsible manner.
