All this is just a few minutes from the residential heart of Karori. The village is in walking distance of shops, cafes and large reserves. Karori is only four kilometres from Wellington’s city centre and known for its hills and bushland as well as the Zealandia nature sanctuary. Karori has a new public library, a modern swimming pool and recreation centre. Karori golf course is a short drive away.

Karori village has a long heritage of providing care. Previously known as Sprott House, the village was first established in 1898 to provide care for young women and children. It became a residential aged care home in 1951.
