Bainlea House is a 25-bed secure dementia unit and one of the three Lifecare facilities in Rangiora. This purpose-built home, set in tranquil surroundings, offers long-term dementia care, along with a dedicated room for respite care, in a safe and caring environment.
Room sizes vary at Bainlea, with a choice of premium rooms (up to $15 extra per day) or non-premium rooms. All rooms have a modern call bell system, and the whole facility is fully secure. Living with dementia isn’t easy, so Bainlea staff are highly trained, experienced caregivers who provide round-the-clock care and support for residents.
Bainlea staff offer residents a comprehensive programme of activities within the unit, as well as regular excursions for those who enjoy getting out and about. The home has a library, a hair salon, Wi-Fi and two living and television areas. Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time and join in activities whenever they wish.
Staff at Bainlea focus on making each day comfortable and fulfilling for every person in their care, adapting services to meet individual needs. They hold regular meetings with families to plan ongoing care, and the door is always open for a chat about any specific requirements.
