“Helping a new resident and their loved ones through the process required to come into care is one of the most enriching moments. These families are often in a place of great vulnerability and are dealing with tough emotions. In many cases they have had no experience with what is involved in moving into a Care facility. Being able to explain the process, assist to connect the dots of what is required and help our new residents settle into Redwood is very rewarding.”

“One of the things I love most is the staff – they’re always smiling and engaging with residents, across every department. I’ve even given Employee of the Month awards to different team members because residents often comment on how friendly everyone is.”

Care that feels like family

“We’re a bubbly, friendly, jovial bunch and very caring. Our Residents Services Manager has been here for 16 years, thinking outside the square with dining and activities like a hotel concierge. Several of our carers have been here 10 or 15 years.”

Person centred approach

“It’s the team and the residents — we work together, everyone matters, and we all support each other. It’s the quality of care, the dedication of the staff, the friendliness, the great activities programme, the meals. Each department does a really great job, and the people here genuinely care.”
