Set in beautiful park-like surroundings in Berhampore, Wellington, Kilmarnock Heights Home is a wonderful rest home. It has strong sense of community whilst offering excellent clinical care.
Accommodation at Kilmarnock Heights Home is split between ‘neighbourhoods’, each with comfortable bedrooms and shared bathrooms and a kitchenette where you can make you or your guests a cup of tea or coffee at any time. You can choose to decorate your own private bedroom with furniture and precious things from home if you choose.
As with all Enliven Central homes, Kilmarnock Heights Home embraces the ‘Eden Alternative’, an elder-centred model of care. This means that residents are encouraged to have a say in the running of the home, maintain their independence, hobbies and interests, and enjoy a varied and stimulating social life. You are even able to bring your beloved pet with you when you move in.
Family is as important to all Enliven Central homes as it is to you, so your family are welcome to visit you at any time. There is plenty of space for grandchildren to play, and friends and family can even join you for meals.
Staff at Kilmarnock Heights Home are highly trained and very warm and friendly. Nursing staff are available through the day and are on-call at night. You’ll be able to enjoy all the communal facilities, such as lounges and dining rooms, peaceful gardens and interesting courtyards. You are welcome to have visitors at any time. There is also thriving social club at the home, which is also very popular with the local community. Activities include sightseeing trips, visiting entertainers, themed parties, arts and crafts, and music. It runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Kilmarnock Heights Home also offers respite care for when your usual carer needs a break and health recovery care should you need it after an illness or surgery. You stay in a furnished bedroom and are invited to use all the facilities that are available to longer term residents.
Kilmarnock Heights Home is operated by Enliven, part of Presbyterian Support Central, who provide services to support elders throughout the lower North Island.Read moreCONTACT CARE HOME
